I was completely new to cloth pads when I first talked to Moms Crafts 4 U. Thankfully, she has a wonderful article HERE on use, care and benefits of cloth pads. Their are so many great prints and colors to choose from and you can pick between cotton and flannel. I think I like the flannel ones best because they are so soft.




Although I have yet to try these for their actual purpose they seem wonderful. I love the colors and sizes. I did stick my pads under the faucet and was surprised with how much liquid they actually held. I also love that Moms Crafts 4 U puts size tags on all her liners so I don't have to guess at which one I'm using.

My Thoughts: 

I was very excited to try the reusable bags from Reuse Zone. As students E and I like to save money by packing our own lunches and not buying from restaurants or the school. However, I still feel bad because we go through way too many sandwich bags which is not only bad for our environment but also cuts into our budget. We've tried washing the plastic bags but we just don't have the time or will to do so. These reusable bags are a great solution.
The Reuse Zone's sandwich bags are the perfect size for your sandwich or snacks. They have an easy Velcro closure that is tight enough to hold in even the smallest of snacks. The bags are lined with nylon that keeps your sandwiches moist without making them soggy like plastic can. The Reuse Zone has so many cute designs for the cotton outsides it is so hard to choose just one.
I can't wait to use these as my kids get older. It will be great to know that I can make them a healthy lunch without the garbage of plastic bags. And, if they each have their own pattern of bag, I can make them responsible for making sure it gets rinsed each evening.

My Thoughts:
Because my boys have never used pacifiers we opted to test a Pants Catcher. I was hoping it would help B hold his pants up while potty training because his belts are much to hard for him to undo himself. It worked well on some pants but on others it was not quite long enough.
When we put the Pants Catcher on C we had exactly the opposite problem. It fit well on most of his pants but on some it was too big.
We did love the idea behind the Pants Catcher as it is certainly easier to use than a belt when changing diapers or potty training however I wish it had an adjustable length so they worked with more pants and for more kids. I also love the many colors and patterns that the Pants Catcher comes in.

My Thoughts:
We were sent a set of wipes to review and we love them. At 8"x8" they fit in our wipes box perfectly folded in half. 
I LOVE the Organic Bamboo Velour! I have never used OBV before but I must say it is my new favorite! It is so soft to the touch yet still "scrubbie" enough to get the job done. I was worried about washing it but it comes out clean and soft every time. 
B and C also approve of Sweet Bobbin's prints. Whenever we "make piles" (aka, fold and stuff diapers) they find the truck ones and tell me all about the different trucks they see. Sweet Bobbins has so many cute prints to choose from for boys, girls and gender neutral wipes.

Crafting with Easter Leftovers

I found these adorable Easter Egg creatures over at Family Fun. They use felt for theirs but I can just see using craft foam, google eyes, and pipe cleaners with my kids. It's all stuff we have lying around the house and they would have an awesome time playing with them when we were done.

Great Deals on Bathroom Decor

As we have been working on moving one of the rooms I am most excited about decorating in our new home is the bathroom(s). I know that may seem a little silly but it is one location I have been given NO decorations for and can do whatever I want to with. Today I was browsing Totsy and found some adorable bathroom decorations I just had to share. 

This Monster shower curtain is just too adorable. It has so many fun colors you could use and the price is unbeatable. Unfortunately, E is not quite as excited about having monsters in the bathroom as I am so this choice was vetoed.

E does however really like this curtain. It still has some fun colors and is a great price but I think I'm going to hold out for something with a little more excitement.

If you've never shopped at Totsy before I highly recommend you take a look. I have been very impressed with the items I have ordered. The prices are always great and though shipping takes a while it is well worth it.

About Dew on a Petal:  I am capable in many art and craft forms, starting with an art degree in printmaking. Over the years, I have picked up other skills such as jewelry making, crocheting, machine knitting, lampworking, sewing, embroidery, and of course, candle-making. 

I finally quit my job in 2009 after 32 years, moved out of Manhattan to my dream house in the sticks of upstate NY. I still visit NYC often where my daughter is an opera student at Juilliard. My thoughts:

I was sent this wonderful gift basket to review. It included 2 candles, a bar of soap, and a wax tart in various fruity scents and a bath scrubbie. I was thrilled. The wax tart is probably my favorite part. It smells so delicious and I love opening my drawer where it is placed and smelling its wonderful scent. 

The candles are also wonderful and I have been very pleased with how they have burned. I have to make sure to light the pineapple one while my husband is at work as he's not a fan but I love it.

My Thoughts:


I don't usually wear flip flops because I feel they look tacky and make my feet look big but I really liked these from the moment I put them on. The cute bows were just enough to help hide my large and swollen feet, and they were casual enough to wear with my jeans without looking silly. I'm still waiting for it to warm up enough to wear them on a regular basis, we had snow again today, but I am very impressed with the quality and the style of these flops.

My Thoughts:

Who doesn't like a little lift? I have NEVER worn a bikini because I have nothing to show and I see no point in emphasizing that fact, something my husband does not understand, but when I found Voda Swim I was excited to give their push up swimwear a try. 

I was sent the Midnight Envy Push Up® Tankini & Adjustable Scoop. It arrived quickly and I was delighted with the softness of the fabric. The suit is just like in the photo, sorry, no photos of me and my big belly and stretch marks, and has a great fit. The fabric was stretchy enough to make it over my ever growing belly however I am much more excited to wear it this summer once that is no longer an issue. The push up worked great and I might actually feel cute at the pool this summer. 

I do have two concerns. One being that the suit does seem to run small. If you're in question I would order a size bigger than you think. The second is that the straps are not as long as I would like and I am worried about the ties coming undone. I did do some moving and pulling on them while trying on the suit and they didn't come undone but I don't think a little longer straps would hurt it any.
