With the holiday season fast approaching there is much to think about. As parents we must decide what to buy, where to buy, when to buy, and how much we can spend. It can be very easy to let our finances get away from us as we strive to give the very best to our children. For many of us it takes a lot of self-control and careful consideration to make sure that our finances make it through the holidays intact.
This year, I am excited to announce that Capital One 360 is
here to help you meet your holiday financial commitments with financial peace
of mind. There are deals on almost every Capital One product including:
- ShareBuilder – up to $1250 bonus*
- Home Loans - $1250 off closing costs*
- 360 Checking - $100 bonus*
- 360 Savings - $100 bonus*
- Refer a Friend - $40 bonus per successful referral*
At our house, starting our holiday season with smart
financial decisions is only the first half of the battle. There are so many
things that we do all year long to help our family make it through the holidays
successfully. The biggest and probably the easiest of the things we do to save
is simply to pay our bills on time.
By making sure we pay our bills on time, we save hundreds in
late fees. Having previously seen the results of having multiple late fees I
can honestly say that making the change to pay things on time has been one of
the biggest blessings to our family. Instead of wondering which bills we will pay
this month we pay them first and worry about what extras we will get after that
is done.
It’s wonderful to know that the gift giving we do during the holidays is done responsibly thanks to smart money decisions during the year and smart shopping during the holiday season. What are your favorite, or most successful, financial tips for the holidays? I’d love to hear about how you make things work during this challenging time of year!
