Liquid Gold Review

About Liquid Gold:

Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative
Regular, proper care is important to maintaining the beauty &  prolonging the life of wood.  Unlike watered-down polishes & waxes that leave wood vulnerable to cracking, warping & fading, Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative is a unique time tested-organic oil formula wood cleaner & treatment, that contains no silicone or wax.  A single application will remove light wax build ups; replace lost moisture; bring back wood's natural color; lessen the appearance of nicks & scratches & leave wood dust free, clean & preserved.

Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Wash - Concentrate
Ideal for large surface cleaning, this pleasant-smelling, advanced formula safely and effectively cleans all types of wood surfaces & more.  Wood Wash Concentrate is wonderful for cleaning and beautifying hardwood floors and it never leaves a soapy, oily, dulling or sticky residue.  Also works great on simulated wood, linoleum, tile, porcelain, vinyl, chrome, brass, fiberglass and painted surfaces.

Scott's Liquid Gold -  providing the highest quality treatments and cleaners for all of your home cleaning needs...

My Thoughts:
I did enjoy using the Liquid Gold. It seemed to do a comparable job with wood cleaners I have used in the past. My favorite part was that thought their was a scent it was not one that was noticeable unless you were really looking for it. I do have to admit that like most cleaners, this will be turned over to E because I did break out when using it. This is by no means abnormal for me but if you have sensitive skin/allergies like I do, this is probably a cleaner better left for someone else.

BrytonPick Review

About BrytonPick:

BrytonPick makes cleaning between teeth easy, fast and discreet
Designed, developed and tested by dental professionals.
Solution for on-the-go or alternative for those that are unable to floss
Made of flexible stainless steel and plastic holder
Blunt cleaning edges are thin as the finest floss (0.0019")
Re-usable up to 30 days (germ-resistand stainless steel).
Cleanse with napking or water. Store in its cary-pouch.
BrytonPick is 100% produced in USA at FDA registered facilities (QS-9000 / ISO9001 Certified)

My Thoughts:

This was certainly not my preferred way to floss. I have this strong aversion to metal in my mouth, even silverware, since I had my braces. This product does work and I can see it being very useful for those of you who work or travel and need something to keep in your wallet however it is not the product for me. Toddler Tuesday: Potty Training

Our latest task with B has been potty training. We started doing this last September using this diaper free method. Remember, at this point B had just turned 2. The diaper free method worked really well until it started getting cold and I went back to school. Now that baby D is here I knew I had to make the plunge however so off we went. Last week on our shopping trips I let B pick out some "panties" of his very own. He picked out Thomas and off we went to start training. It has gone so smoothly, I have been amazed. We started doing the diaper free method but B was so excited about his new undies it didn't last long. Thankfully, he has done very well. We remind him every couple hours that he needs to go sit on the potty so his trains stay clean and he doesn't make them sad, and he goes in and sits on the potty for a bit. It is so nice to not have to worry about changing his diapers anymore as the only time he is using one is overnight.
Our next task is to get C potty trained. I fear this will be a much more difficut task as C is much more independent and stubborn. Oh ya, and he doesn't/can't talk (we're still not sure if it's because he refuses or because he can't at this point but that's another story). If you have any great tips for potty training kids we could try with C let us know.

Have a great day!

If you are interested in me featuring your shop please contact me at kerrific5@gmail.com for details on how you can be Kerrific's Mom Shop of the week. Thanks!

About Corinne Reuter Designs:

Corinne Reuter Designs began from observing my two nephews, and is based on three essentials: Learning, Stimulation, and Style. The development of children is fascinating to watch, trying to aid in that process and devise ways to stimulate their eyes, minds, and sense of touch has been so rewarding. With infants immediately seeing only black, white, and shades of gray, it is important to stimulate their little eyes with strong, bold, patterns. The nerve cells in their retina and brain aren't fully developed at this stage, providing eye-catching, high contrasting colors helps their eyes and minds to grow. As the weeks go by they begin to see bright colors with blue and violet developing last and their focus continues to get better and better. Their senses are extremely heightened and watching them absorb the world around them was simply addicting to me!
I began to design my quilts to help develop their sense of touch and feelings of comfort, as well as to stimulate their eyes and awaken their imagination. I watched how attached babies become to their blankets and I thought it would be great to have a quilt that would continue to educate them, even as they grew older. Each quilt has silhouetted shapes, pictures or numbers that can later be used as a learning tool. Of course it must be soft and cuddly, so in addition to all of the fun and learning on the front side, the back of the quilts have a super soft minky fabric. The final touch is a satin border edge, which has proven to be soothing to the touch, the satin seems to coo the babies to sleep. There are several quilt designs, and an endless array of beautiful fabric options, that aim to both please and inspire little minds. All the quilts are 100% handmade, by myself! I use different fabric options for each quilt so they are all one-of-a-kind. They are a wonderful product, and a life long keepsake for boys and girls.

My Thoughts:

Not long ago, Corinne sent us a blanket to review as part of our Ready 4 Baby D event. It was a beautiful quilt and we have enjoyed using it. It has been helping to teach B his numbers and C loves the texture changes in the fabric. Corinne uses bright fabrics with awesome patterns to create a blanket you will love to show to your friends. Corinne has also recently added initial pillows to her store. They are adorable pillows and would make a great addition to the decor in any room. Make sure you check her out today during her Super Summer Sale to find your special blanket or pillow!

Gripole Review

About Gripole:

My thoughts:
When we received the Gripole I told E I had an assignment for him. I figured this would be an awesome product for him to try out. So I showed him the Gripoles and we watched the introductory movie. Then I asked him what he would use them for. His response, "I could hang up my pens so they don't fall off my dresser." and I'm like REALLY? Don't get me started on why he has pens on his dresser anyway, but it doesn't matter what I do, he won't put them in the jar in the kitchen with everyone else's writing utensils. Anyway, back on topic, then he got all excited about seeing how much weight they could hold. (They will hold my small skillet but not the large one.) So finally, as he's hanging up anything that's sitting out, he realizes that they are strong enough to hold both a can of bug spray and a small flashlight. And it was decided that at our house this would be the best use for them right now. So, they went into the camping bucket and I will get to use them when I go camping with the kids this summer. I am going just me and the 3 kids but that's another story. It's going to be awesome to have the ability to hang up a flashlight quickly and easily when I need to change diapers and do various other things in a dark tent. So thank you Gripole, you have made my life a little easier!

You can learn more about Gripole and it's many uses HERE.

Lovey Baby CD Review

About Lovely Baby CDs:
Lovely Baby Music was launched in July of 2002, by music industry veteran, Gary Brody. Mr. Brody started his career working for two of New York's largest music retailers - Korvettes Department Stores and King Karol Records. He went on to become Regional Marketing Manager with MCA Records in New York for seven years, working with artists like Tom Petty, Elton John and R.E.M. He has also worked with great singer-songwriters including Nancy Griffith, Lyle Lovett and Steve Earle.

It was his work with singer-songwriters that ultimately convinced him to launch his own label - Tangible Music - in the spring of 1995. He went on to work with some fantastic artists, including Iain Matthews, Gary Myrick, Darryl Purpose and blues axeman, "Guitar Pete" Brasino.

Now Lovely Baby Music brings Mr. Brody's expertise to a new level - one where helping to create a better world through music is priority number one. Working closely with Lovely Baby creator, Raimond Lap, Mr. Brody is committed to helping future generations by exposing them to music that will stimulate their brains, giving them a lifelong creative, emotional and intellectual advantage.

My Thoughts:
As a music lover and music major our home is rarely without some sort of music playing. I have listened to a little bit of everything in my life but the boys and I all have our preferences. It is not uncommon for one of us to start dancing and singing along when we hear a song we like even if we have never heard it before. Over the last little bit as I have added the Lovey Baby CD to our collection it has been interesting to see B & C's reactions. When I first turn on the CD their seems to be very little notice however, the second the child's voice comes on in place of the adult's they both turn and look at the CD player like "are you crazy". Now maybe I have done something wrong in raising my kids. I turn on classical music and they dance. I turn on Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights and they'll sit by me quietly through the entire show. I turn on the radio in the car and they sing along and dance in their seats. This CD however gets a crazy look from B & C other than that I really don't know what to say.

New Baby : DaddyScrubs Review

About DaddyScrubs:

DaddyScrubs™ is the offspring of Robert Nickell, who fathered his first four children more than 20 years ago. DaddyScrubs™ was conceived when Robert, who remarried in 2007, discovered he was about to be a father all over again in the fall of 2009!
Not wanting to endure the pains of wearing uncomfortable street clothes while comforting his laboring wife, Robert hatched the idea of creating doctor-like scrubs for himself. It seemed a natural thing for him to do — since Robert is a pharmacist by profession.
To eliminate the confusion between “who’s the doctor” and “who’s the daddy,” Robert fashioned the concept of “I’m The Daddy™” medical scrubs.
All comfort wear from DaddyScrubs™ — including “I’m The Daddy™” medical scrubs and t-shirts are available exclusively online at www.daddyscrubs.com.

My Thoughts:
I think these scrubs are absolutely awesome! I do not have long labors, thankfully, so E did not have time to put these on for the actual delivery but it is fun to see him wear them around the house and be proud to be the daddy. E says they are comfortable and they have washed wonderfully. These scrubs are an awesome gift for any dad to be and don't forget to check out all the other great products just for dad at DaddyScrubs.

The Perfect Tie Review

About The Perfect Tie:
The Perfect Knot Inc. was created by Franco Biancamano, a former NFL football player and Inventor. Through his many accomplishments and adventures as a professional, Franco also found his way in to the world of fashion as a print model. Being around such A-list celebrities and models Franco found it extremely odd as to how everyone would ask him how to tie a necktie. To make it easy for everyone Franco invented "The Perfect Knot". A unique product that makes tying a Double Windsor simple and perfect every time! Franco proceeded to market his product with the help of Anthony Franzese, a friend and investor who also shared the same passion and vision

E's Thoughts:
When I first told E I needed his help to review this product his response was "you want me to do what?" He did however go pull a tie out of his closet and give it a try. Let me preface this with the fact that E is really good at tying a tie. I am always amazed at how quickly he can do it and how nice it looks when he's done. When I gave the clip to him and let him watch the movie of how it is supposed to work he then tried it and found it very confusing (this was kinda funny actually). Apparently he learned to tie a tie differently than what is demonstrated. Once he had the tie done I could see no difference in the appearance and the only notice he found was that the tie was more stiff making it slightly uncomfortable.

My Thoughts:
Now you get the story about when I used The Perfect Tie. We will start by saying that even with 4 brothers, a husband, and 3 sons I cannot tie a tie to save my life. I am so bad that if I was left to get my brothers dressed for church, prior to them having this skill themselves, I would just take the tie with me to church and ask someone there to tie it for them because I really am hopeless. Once I had the Perfect Tie and had watched the instructional video two or three times I was able to tie a presentable knot. It was kinda amazing.

I guess the results of our experiment would be that if you can tie a tie and do a good job you don't kneed the Perfect Tie. However, if you are someone who doesn't tie ties on a regular basis, or is just plain bad at it, this product will probably help you out.

You can find the Perfect Tie in their shop.

New Baby: Green Bumpkin Review

About Green Bumpkin:
All my products are handmade by me in a Canada in a smoke-free home.

I prewash all my fabric in dye-free, naturally scented detergent.

My wipes, wetbags, snack/sandwich bags are all machine washable.
To preserve the PUL lining in the wetbags I suggest line-drying when possible, but they can be put in the dryer.
Straps can also be machine washed, but may need to be ironed.

Need a specific size of wetbag or wipe? I would be happy to do a custom size for you! Simply message me with what size you're looking for and I would be glad to see what I can do for you! :)

My Thoughts:
We were sent this adorable wet bag to review. B's first word when he saw it was "CARS!". Needless to say he approves. This wet bag has taken up permanent residence in the car. This works well for us for a number of reasons. First because when I ask E if the car wet bag is there he doesn't have to ask any questions, he knows I'm wondering if the car wet bag is in the car for emergencies. It is also nice because the size is perfect to hold that diaper and change of clothes that don't fit in the diaper bag I keep in the diaper bag but always end up seeming to need a place for at the most unexpected times. And finally, it works great because there is only one pocket meaning that I know everything there is dirty and I don't have to question how long that dirty diaper has been in that pocket waiting for me to wash it because we emptied the clean pocket instead of the dirty one. Not that any of you have ever done that. :)

If you're looking for a great wet bag, make sure you check out Green Bumpkin today.

Coupons

For those of you who don't know I have been working on saving money by coupon shopping as we try to build up a supply so I can do less shopping while we are in school. Anyway, I finally feel confident enough that I'm going to post my purchases for the week. Anyway, this week I shopped Target, Big 5, Walgreens, Petsmart and Michaels. I spent $27.37 which was 87% savings. I also have $22 in gift cards and Register Rewards to use next week. Anyway, so far so good.

New Baby: My Ducks in a Row Review

About My Ducks in a Row:

Welcome to My Ducks In A Row! Custom made items for a little one in your life! Thanks for joining me in my new shop! I love making things, and especially love to work with machine embroidery. I've have been making items for several years for my family and friends, and have now decided to take the plunge. Check back often as I will be adding more, but enjoy my beginnings, the big/little tees. They are my favorite and I know they will be adorable for the favorite little people in your life!

My Thoughts:
C received this adorable Big Brother shirt to review. He looked so handsome and absolutely loves everyone knowing that he is the big brother. The sizing on the shirt did seem to run a little small but no horribly, just a note that if your child is between sizes order up. All in all it has been great. The stitching has washed wonderfully and C love's being a Big Brother!

New Baby: Sprig Toys Review

About Sprig Toys:

Sprig Toys, Inc., is an eco-friendly company dedicated to making the best toys the right way.

Inspired by our collective desire to keep kids active and the planet healthy, Team Sprig is dedicated to infusing creativity, smart design, quality manufacturing, earth-friendly materials, product satisfaction and responsible business practices into a superior line of fun, kid-powered toys.
We help make the world a better place and we get kids off the couch. Pretty cool, huh?

My Thoughts:
We received two adorable items to review. The first is their Glider Patrol. My favorite thing about this little guy is actually that he doesn't have a face. Because we are always trying to encourage our children to grow and think, I love this because it is great for their imaginations. Our little Glider Dude has been so many other things and I have no idea how the boys picture him as they play but I'm sure it is not the same every time. This is the same reason I used to love my rag dolls, they could be anything, and I love that these toys can help my boys develop a great imagination.

The second item we received was a rattle. I can't find it listed on their site so I have no idea what they call it but we love it. Though D is not quite ready to hold a rattle, C has had a blast running around with it. I love that it is big enough that I'm not worried about little pieces but the material is light so even a small baby can hold it. I also love the colors as they are very gender neutral but could go boy or girl very easily.

Thank you Sprig for providing our children with great toys as always! Make sure you check them out HERE today to find some great eco-friendly toys for the child(ren) in your life and like them on Facebook and Twitter to be the first to know about sales and new products.

New Baby: Kiki's Fashons

About Kiki's Fashons:
Kiki's Fashions is dedicated to bringing our customers today's cute and trendy maternity clothes at low, low prices. While most maternity clothes out in the market are boxy, boring and expensive, we pride ourselves on having a wide selection of unique maternity styles at prices mostly under $20.

By selling exclusively on the Internet, Kiki's Fashions is able to maintain very low operating costs and we pass those savings on to our customers by offering prices 15%- 30% off many of our competitors. We also change our inventory often, so our customers always have access to today's hottest fashions and trends.

-Kiki

My Thoughts: I received this adorable shirt in red to review. It fit great and was wonderful to wear while pregnant. I was also impressed with how well it washed which is always a big factor at the Kerr house. :) The biggest thing I dislike is that I cannot wear it while nursing but because it doesn't look "maternity" I will look forward to wearing it again at a later date.

I loved shopping at Kiki's site. It was easy to navigate and it was nice to see maternity clothes without cringing when I looked at the prices. I do wish they had longer dresses with sleeves. Because I am tall (for the size I wear) the length of their dresses is not nearly long enough when I still need to manage other small children in public however, it is nice that they tell you exactly how long the dresses are on the site so you can check and see what you think.

If we have another baby I will be visiting Kiki's for some awesome deals on cute outfits, and maybe before then as many of the shirt's don't look "maternity". You can't beat $20 for a nice maternity shirt!

Bows N Such By Michelle Review

About Bows N Such:
Creating the finishing touches for the special little one in your life- specializing in bows, woven headbands & custom hand embroidered shirts. Let me create something special for your someone special!

My Thoughts:
B was sent this adorable Big Bro shirt to review and he loves it! Of course the first thing he noticed was the awesome truck but he was even happier when he knew what it said. B loves to wear this shirt because it means he gets to be mama's "big helper."

As Mom, this shirt is wonderful. The size was perfect and the colors and truck are just what my boys love. This shirt has also washed really well as the workmanship is great. I always enjoy making sure the "big boys" have something new when I know the baby will be receiving gifts because I know it helps them feel better. This shirt fit the bill perfectly for B and her "Big Sis" shirt is just as cute.

I will be buying from Bows N Such again when I need cute clothing or any of the other fun items she sells.

If you're looking for a fun shirt for your child in the near future make sure you check out Bows N Such By Michelle today.
