I recently had the opportunity to read this trio and loved them. They were great lengths (I could easily finish in a day and still get something done around the house) and were connected enough that I wanted to keep reading. I am using Deception as my book with a one word title in the extreme book nerd challenge. If you're looking for some quick read fun then this might be just what you're looking for.

Best-selling author Tarah Scott cut her teeth on authors such as Georgette Heyer, Zane Grey, and Amanda Quick. Her favorite book is a Tale of Two Cities, with Gone With the Wind as a close second. She writes modern classical romance, and paranormal and romantic suspense. Tarah grew up in Texas and currently resides in Westchester County, New York with her daughter.

I recently read this book for the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge - A book about books and loved it! This was a story that I couldn't put down. It took me a little bit to adjust to the time period changes between chapters but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of reading. Cady was an amazing character and the only thing I would change is I'd love to know what happened once the carver arrived in San Francisco. Maybe another book? I hope so!

This was a fun fast read with a great reminder about slowing down and enjoying time with people around you. I read this book for the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge - a book with a city in the title. It is an adult read but a good one!

I recently read this for the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge using it for the sad book category and enjoyed it. This is certainly a book with many twists and turns. One wonderful woman, who faces every challenge imaginable, with two brave men fighting for what they believe. This is just my kind of story!

I recently had the chance to enjoy this book during the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge. I used it for the western category and thought it was great. It was great to see childhood friends come together and build a life through whatever came. I'd highly recommend.

I recently had a chance to read Cowboy Bold as part of the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge (A book set in the South) and loved it! As far as romances go this is a fairly clean one and that made it all the more enjoyable for me. Retta was a wonderfully fun character and Cade was every cowgirls' dream. I'm excited to read the rest of the series as they arrive!

I recently read The Luck of the Bride as part of the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge, a book with an animal in it. Can I just say that March is my hero. She's the kind of lady who jumps right in and makes a situation the best it can be no matter the price. Her sheep were a highlight and I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a fun, and interesting, romance.

I recently read this book as part of the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge for the category a book with royalty in it. The Russian prince was by far one of my favorite characters and I loved the fun spirit he brought to this wonderful, although somewhat tragic, romance. This is an adult read but it is a good one and if you like historical romance it's a great selection!

I had the chance to read this book over the weekend and loved it! I read this book for the Extreme Book Nerd Challenge in the category " a book with x, y, or z in the title". It was a great read about overcoming obstacles for the one you truly love. In a world where everything that can go wrong does, Rafe and Avery's love story is a wonderful one!

I recently had the chance to read Better with You as part of my Extreme Book Nerd Challenge (a book with food in it category). It was a very entertaining read and one that will be on my read again list for sure. I just loved Shaun and Paige was so much like me that I couldn't help but laugh. You'll enjoy this fun read with a hint of serious love!

EXCERPT

Shaun Randall could spot a bad date from a mile away, and this one at a nearby table was obviously not going well. The guy’s first mistake was bringing a girl to a sports bar and sitting where he could watch the game, while she sat and toyed with her lemonade.

The football game only mildly interested him, and he couldn’t help checking back, more and more certain this was a first, maybe second date scenario and not a girlfriend/boyfriend situation. There was definitely an awkward newness vibe going on between the two. Plus, she was way too dressed up for a sports bar, while her date was in cargo shorts and a T-shirt. Watching the guy down his third beer and order another one gave Shaun the push he needed.

Thanks to his six foot, four inch height and his bright red hair, Shaun stood out for all the wrong reasons. He was not the best-looking guy there. But he did have one gift, and that was understanding women and how to talk to them. It didn’t always mean he said the right thing. He liked messing with people almost as much as he liked flirting. In this case, he could do both. He took a last sip of his Coke and went to make his move. If things went badly, it would be a fun story for later.

He planted his hands on their table and waited until she noticed him. “Hi, cuz. I’m so glad I found you. Your mom’s been trying to get a hold of you. Is your phone on silent?”

Dark brown eyes framed in long lashes stared at him, her forehead knotting in confusion. She was even more beautiful up close.

“Hey, man, you’re blocking the TV.” Her date weaved his head around him, groaning when the play didn’t go the way he wanted.

“Oh, you’re right.” The girl held up her phone, hiding a slight smile. “I did miss some calls. Jeremy, I need to go. Sorry to cut our date short.”

Jeremy looked at Shaun and then at her, finally paying attention. “Come on. I need you to be my designated driver. And who’s this guy?”

“My … cousin.” She pulled out a couple of bills and dropped them on the table. “Call a cab, it’s on me. Sorry the date didn’t work out.” She strode off, throwing her purse strap over one shoulder, and Shaun had to jog to catch up.
