Oreo & Fabio - Adoptable

Oreo & Fabio arrived at BUNS together and they get along very nicely. Oreo is approx. 1 year old and his buddy, Fabio is approx. 2 &1/2. They both enjoy lap time and hand feeding. Along with plenty of hay, they both love to eat bits of cucumber and apple. Fabio has very long hair and requires regular grooming and trimming and the occasional bath. They make a very cute duo.
Oreo & Fabio are currently available for adoption in California through Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter

Savage by Willow Rose

Sometimes when I first look at a book I'm just not quite sure what to expect. That was the case when I received Savage by Willow Rose. From reading the brief description on the back I guessed it was some sort of mystical romance which isn't my favorite but I'd figure I'd give it a try. I am so glad that I did because I really loved this book!
Savage is the first book in Rose's Daughters of the Jaguar series. It tells the story of a young man who came to America to get his education after his mother passed away. While he is supposed to be working to become a doctor like his father all he really wants to do is play his guitar and enjoy the music. When he meets the family next door to his "sponsors" he quickly finds their carefree way of life enjoyable.
The story tells the story of this young man and his fight to live in a world he is not really a part of while loving the girl who lives in the world where he belongs. The dislike the worlds have for each other further increase his inner struggle as he works to learn what he should do with his life.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was a great story with enough romance to keep me interested. Enough mystery to not let me sleep at night. And enough magic to keep me from getting too involved. I think this would make a great story for anyone who likes a little bit of magic to brighten their day.

Sullivan - Adoptable

My name is Sullivan and I am one heck of a kitty cat. I have the neatest personality and I get along well with other kitties. At the shelter I like to follow all the nice volunteers around to get some extra loving while they are cleaning. I am hoping you can find room in your heart to give me a loving home.

Sullivan can be found at the Salem County Humane Society in Carneys Point, NJ along with lots of other dogs and cats that need forever homes. If you're looking for a new pet make sure you think adoption first!

Poopendous by Artie Bennett

It's been a while since I've told you about a good children's book and today I am super excited to tell you about Poopendous ! My boys and I love reading and I can't help but laugh each time they pull this great book off the shelf. I never thought I would enjoy reading them a book about poop but this one is well worth the laughs!
The first thing I noticed about this book was the great pictures. I love the way Mike Moran illustrated the book while making the pictures bright and enjoyable to look at. The story itself is about poop. You and your child will learn all about who and what poops, different names for poop and what poop is used for.
I can see this being a great book for potty training or as a hilarious addition to your guest bathroom. This really is a fun and educational story about a topic we really can't avoid. Check out Poopendous today!

A New Sensory Toy

It's been a while since I've done a true Toddler Tuesday but today I discovered a toy I have fallen in love with and I have to share. As many of you know C has lots of sensory issues. Things have been getting out of hand again so we have been looking for a way to help him keep himself calm. This is going to be super important when the new baby arrives because I know it is going to be stressful for him.
Today our therapist brought a great new toy. It's therapy putty! I was super impressed with how this simple toy kept C's attention for almost an hour and how relaxed he was while he played. So many things we have tried only work for a short while or he just doesn't seem interested.
At first I was supper worried that this was going to be a messy toy that would get all over in my carpet but I was impressed with the fact that it doesn't stick to things. The boys had lots of fun making it flat and then rolling beads up inside to hide so they could find them. They played with it much like play dough but it was much cleaner AND it did help C relax. The putty we used was a medium resistance but they make it in a variety of different thicknesses. I can't wait to get some of this for the boys! It will be a perfect sensory activity for on the go because it will easily fit in my diaper bag. If your child has trouble sitting still or other sensory seeking problems I highly suggest you try some!

Saving Again

I had an interesting shopping week this week. E called me when I was about half way through and opened with, "Is C up to date on shots?" Not what I wanted to hear. To make a long story short I came running home to find out that C had stepped on a staple outside and has a nice gash on BOTH of his feet. He is up to date so we didn't have to make a doctor visit but we did have to spend some time cleaning it before I could go back to the store. I shopped Target, Walgreens, and Fred Meyer.

Total Spent: $32.30
Total Saved: $172.42 (84%)
Rewards Earned: $24.00

To Seduce A Scoundrel by Darcy Burke

You've probably already read my reviews of Her Wicked Ways and His Wicked Heart by Darcy Burke. If you're interested in these you should get the third book in this series, To Seduce a Scoundrel , while you're at it.
This third book is about two family friends, Lady Philippa and Lord Ambrose. Although they seem like polar opposites they are pushed together when Lady Philippa's impulsive decision puts here in a very risky situation and threatens the family's reputation. She is rescued by Lord Ambrose, England's most notorious scoundrel, and together they must fight to defend her reputation.

I have to say that I fell in love with Lord Ambrose. He is any girl's hero as he defends Lady Philippa and yet won't let her help him at all. There were times that I just wanted to reach through the page and smack him because he just didn't see why Lady Philippa could care about him when in truth he was a great gentleman. You will love this book and I think it is a great addition to any collection!

His Wicked Heart by Darcy Burke

If you read my review earlier you know that I loved Darcy Burke's book, Her Wicked Ways. I'm here to let you know that the story continues in her next book His Wicked Heart . This second book is about the mysterious brother, Jasper, who shows up to "help" Miranda.
Jasper, the Earl of Saxton, has made a deal with his devil father and has one month left to marry. Instead of looking at all the acceptable young ladies he joins a fighting club in the unacceptable part of town. This is where he meets an orphaned seamstress, Olivia. Although all Olivia wants is a respectable life, Jasper is out to win her as his mistress. After much deceiving the pieces fall together and Olivia might just be acceptable as more than a mistress but first Jasper must make sure that her history is properly hidden. Will Jasper take the risk and go against his father's wishes or will he loose the one woman he is trying to win?
This is another incredible story about a true gentleman who has yet to discover his real self. I loved following Jasper and Olivia as they worked to discover the meaning in their lives and then fought to keep what they held most precious. You'll love this story of trial and triumph!

Her Wicked Ways by Darcy Burke

As some of you may know my doctor has recently limited my mobility. He hasn't said the word bed rest exactly (I don't think he dares because he knows my kids) but I'm supposed to "take it easy." For me this means that I have been doing a lot of reading. I love a good book because it helps keep my mind off my house that's not getting clean and the long list of other things I really should(n't) be doing.

Recently Darcy Burke sent me three books to review and I loved every minute of them! Her Wicked Ways was a great way to start this series. It tells the story of a young girl, Lady Miranda, who is banished from London for her reckless behavior. On the way to stay in her uncles house in the country her traveling party robbed. Because Miranda was forced to leave her jewels behind she offers the handsome thief a kiss instead. Upon arriving at her uncles humble home, Miranda is encouraged to work at a local orphanage where she meets the handsome owner, "Fox", who tempts her passion in wicked ways.

This book was one that I thoroughly enjoyed! I do have to mention that this is an adult novel. Having said that, I highly encourage you to read it! I absolutely fell in love with Fox, a true country gentleman, and couldn't help but root for him to gain Miranda's favor. The ending is completely unpredictable as Miranda's brother, Jasper, steps in to "help". You won't want to miss Her Wicked Ways !

Ready for an Un-Holiday - Adult

Express your love with Vroom! Sex toys from EdenFantasys. Shop now!

As summer draws to a close I often wonder why there isn't another holiday. You know, a reason to celebrate before we all go back to our lives of school and work and the weather gets cold. This year I have decided to celebrate an Un-Holiday before our new baby gets here. Something fun just for E and I. As I am planning for this event (which E doesn't know about so please don't tell him) I have payed a visit to one of my favorite stores, EdenFantasys.
I was super excited when I found out that EdenFantasys is having a sale for 20% off everything and anything on their site using code PLAY20. Apparently I'm not the only one who needs a vacation from vacation. This and the free gift with any order will help my dollar go a lot further.
Besides fun things for us as a couple I also have a few things for me on my wish list. I am simply addicted to their Milk Made Smoothing White Sugar Scrub and my jar is just about gone. They also have a large selection of lotions, including stretch mark cream, that I want to try before this baby gets here. Speaking of which, I know EdenFantasys has super fast shipping, but I better go get this order in before the baby decides to get here faster than the mail. Happy shopping!

OXYwater Review & Giveaway

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a wonderful product, OXYwater! When my box arrived I had honestly forgotten all about it and when I opened the box I told E this was one he was going to have to do because I had just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes which meant no sugar drinks. Boy was I excited when I realized I OXYwater was a flavored drink that I could have.
The Nutrition Label to the right is from my favorite flavor of OXYwater, Passion Berry. It's great chilled but also wonderful for just about any moment when I just can't take any more water. There are six flavors of OXYwater total and I like all but one (which happens to be E's favorite).
I will be super sad when our stash of OXYwater is gone because there is no place for me to buy it locally yet (PLEASE fix that soon OXYwater). If you live in the South Eastern states there is a good chance you'll be able to find OXYwater at a location near you. If not, you can order OXYwater directly from their website.
I'm super excited to be able to give you the chance to win some OXYwater to try. To enter please use the form below and make sure to thank OXYwater for this great opportunity!

Comback Love by Peter Golden

I would have to say that a majority of individuals have a point in their life they wish they could go back to. Something they enjoyed or maybe even something they want to change. For Gordon in Comeback Love by Peter Golden, he can't help but think back on events that transpired thirty-five years previous when he lost his only chance with Glenna.
Gordon, now a globe-trotting consultant with a grown child, was not so very long ago an aspiring writer with a draft looking him in the face. Glenna was a sharp med student that he couldn't dream of living without. As Gordon travels to find Glenna again he must revisit the past and discover why he truly drove her away if he hopes to rediscover the passion they once shared. As he travels along this journey of reliving his live in the 1960s to find the true reason for his return you can't help but share every moment of this story with him.
Although this is not a time frame I usually read about I did enjoy taking this journey with Gordon. My favorite aspect of this book was the wide range of emotions of the characters as they traveled. It was always interesting to see how they would react to a given situation and what that reaction would then lead them too. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would encourage any adult to read it.

Willow Store Diaper Review

As we have continued to cloth diaper we have enjoyed becoming more diverse in the types of diapers we use. One brand we were recently able to try was from the Willow Store. They sent us a starter set in CherryBerry to try and we are enjoying it.
These diapers are super simple to use. You have a shell and an insert and you simply lay the insert inside the shell and put it on. My favorite part about these diapers is their extra large inserts. I have to fold them for my 2 year old but that means I can put the extra right where I need it most. These inserts do not fit in my pocket diapers but that is ok by me.
The shell of this diaper is fully reversible which makes it kinda fun. These covers are also one size. Adjusting them takes a little more work than some because you actually adjust it with elastic inside the cover but they also get a more secure fit than one size snap covers.
Last but not least I will tell you that I love all the bright colors these diaper sets come in! There are so many combos to choose from you'll have a hard time picking just one.

Books for Bunnies

Books for Bunnies is an event set up to help raise money for the House Rabbit Society. The House Rabbit Society (or HRS) is a 501 non-profit organization to help raise awareness and to rescue rabbits from animal shelters. Their mission has two parts: Through our fostering program, volunteers rescue abandoned rabbits and find permanent adoptive homes for them. Through education, we seek to reduce the number of unwanted rabbits — and to improve bunnies' lives — by helping people better understand these often misunderstood companion animals.

Because there is no time limit on our rescued rabbits, HRS foster parents are able to spend time getting to know each individual bunny and can then match him or her with an appropriate home. We neuter/spay all incoming rabbits, obtain any necessary veterinary care, and attend to their social needs.

HRS provides educational materials to veterinarians and humane societies and helps individual rabbit people solve behavior and health problems, primarily through our web site, www.rabbit.org, and our quarterly publication, House Rabbit Journal. Over the past 20 years, HRS has grown from 300 to more than 8,000 members, with local chapters and educators in over 30 states plus Canada, Italy, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore.

HRS is looking for donations to help their cause. In return you will will receive either an eBook or print book equal to the amount donated. There are books ranging in price from 99 cents to $27.00. There are several print copies of the books that have been autographed by the author. The person that donates will receive an email thanking them for donating. That email needs to be forwarded to books4bunnys@bunnysreview.com. This will show the amount that has been donated. Please remember there is not any donation that is too small. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. The HRS will use the money to either help pay for vet bills or help in finding a forever home for the hundreds of bunnies in their care. Please if possible take a moment to donate a couple of dollars to the HRS you never know what bunny’s life you might be saving.

LilyPadz Review

I don't often express my strong opinions but I'm assuming by now you have realized that I am a somewhat crunchy mama. I am after all a cloth diapering, baby wearing, breastfeeding mom and proud of it. There are some necessary evils that come with being a crunchy mom however and one of those is breast pads. Or at least I thought they were necessary, until I was introduced to LilyPadz.
LilyPadz has given me an whole new outlook on breastfeeding and I haven't even used them for their intended purpose yet. They are simply a piece of thin silicone that PREVENTS breast leakage by maintaining pressure on your breast. They are super easy to apply and you only need one set! That is a big bonus in my mind!
Since I'm not currently nursing I can't vouch for how well these work but having tried them on I think they are going to be an awesome solution to an unfortunate problem. I should also tell you that even if you aren't nursing you may want to invest in a set of LilyPadz. They are also great for days when it's a little colder than you thought it was going to be but you want to wear your favorite bra that just doesn't have quite enough padding. That's right, LilyPadz are a great solution to this problem too.
I love my LilyPadz! They are super user friendly and I just know you'll love them too!
