Bruce L. Thompson Jr is from Hollywood. He wrote The Handbook of Love in hopes to give a man's perspective on love and give a healthy image of men. The book itself is written in prose and is somewhat interesting to read because of this format. For me it read almost like a book of quotes and could easily be used in a "quote a day" type format.
I really liked parts of this book. I believe my favorite quote is "If you have love, you have everything." (p.34). There are many truths such as this to be found in this book and it would make a great gift for yourself or those you love.
Sounds like an interesting read.
ReplyDeleteI would love to read this book especially since it is written in prose.

Sounds like I can give this one a miss. I was hoping for something a bit more than a book of obvious platitudes. Perhaps I am misreading your review, but I somehow think not. It is sometimes possible to say just enough in a nice way.
